Gina talks about the origins of Emerald Technology Ventures and
what her original goals were .Moving ahead 25 years to today, she shares what
Emerald looks like now and how has it grown.

evolution of cleantech is just a name, you can call it sustainability or
whatever the new buzz word is now; she just looks for great companies with
innovation and looks at the long term goals.
Gina Domanig is the
Managing Partner of Emerald Technology Ventures. In 2000 she founded the
business as the first independent cleantech venture capital fund in Europe.
Gina currently serves on the boards of Actnano Ltd, GeoDigital International
Inc and Urgently Inc. (ULY
NASDAQ).
In addition to
Emerald activities, Gina serves on the board of directors of Die Mobiliar and
the Basel Agency for Sustainable Energy (BASE) Foundation. She serves on the
advisory boards of the Danish Innovation Fund, as well as the World Economic
Forum Global Future Council on Food and Water Security and is the co-chair of
innovation at the World Energy Council.

including banking, M&A, strategic development, and venture capital. Prior
to starting Emerald, she was senior vice president at Sulzer, a Swiss
multinational, responsible for strategic planning and M&A. Gina holds a Bachelor
Degree in Finance from Arizona State University as well as MBA degrees from
Thunderbird in Arizona and ESADE in Barcelona.
